Deanna and The Yellow Jacket
While we were on lunch break from school we noticed a Yellow Jacket fly into the house. "u-oh a bee," I said. We all held still for a second or two. We thought it had started to charge. "Duck in cover!" I yelled as I ran for the bathroom. After in safety I thought for a second or two. "A good soldier never leaves a man behind!" I said to myself quietly. Slowly I emerged from my hiding place. The horrible yellow jacket was nowhere to be seen... everyone was still... and then in a horrified voice Lydia shouted, "Deanna it's on your shoe!!!!!!!!!" Deanna looked down in horror and screamed the loudest, the most horrefiedest scream you could imagine! All in one motion she jumped, kicked her shoe off and single footedly hopped away into the kitchen. Immediately we all started laughing. When we had fully recovered, springing into action I jumped into the air and landed on the shoe (which the yellow jacket was under and now flattened) "da da!" I said as I took a bow.
A Closer look

About an hour ago, I noticed that yet another Yellow Jacket flew in the door and tried to fly out the screened window. I got a cup and a piece of paper and pulled a chair up close to the window, careful not to aggravate the bee. I slipped onto the chair and watched the bee go closer and further from the edge of the window but I never really had a chance to catch it, so I got down. Then Deanna started to walk by me. "Hey Deanna," I started slyly "I'll play with you in the wheelbarrow with barbies and water if you catch the bee on the window with this cup." I handed her the cup. "OK," she said. Then she unsuccessfully tried to do as I asked. Then seeing the perfect chance I took the cup and plunged at the window with it. " I got it! Hand me the paper!" I shouted. I slipped the paper underneath the cup and captured the bee! Very, very carefully, I took the cup to the freezer and put the cup in it. Two minutes later I took it out but the bee wasn't in it! So I slipped a glove on and picked up the bee, set it in the cup, and took a closer look.
the end, I mean,
THE END
